Another service I use to create virtual phone numbers is TextNow. Keep in mind that this hack works well in tests. For receiving SMS and verification codes, TexNow can be useful. You can divide your business accounts by having multiple phone numbers, which is convenient. We will now generate a US number.

Download TexNow, then sign up using it. Start with the Area code for a random US city when you get to the Select Your Phone number box, then click Continue. For instance, the area codes for Chicago are 773 while Philadelphia is 215 or 267.

Enter any US city's area code and click Continue on the following screen. From the list, select your phone number, then touch Continue.
